Saturday morning after waking up at o'dark thirty with the kids, I decided that we needed to go somewhere. Otherwise mama might just go nuts. We had afterall spent most of the week at home. Anyway, we woke papa up and hurried over to the zoo for the grand opening of the second phase of the Kids Zone - Animal Ave. We had a great time and it really wasn't crowded at all until we left at 12 (while leaving people were stalking us for our parking spot...)

We also saw the new meerkat habitat, which looks really cool. Unfortunately the meerkats weren't quite ready to be on show, so we didn't see them. On the way home Grace said, "Can we go to the zoo again when the "meerkitties" are there?" Ha hahaha - it was so funny that we laughed so hard.

I can't wait to go see it, it looks so cool. Did you see the naked mole rats? Those are my favorite, they are so funny!
